Creating A Blog That Pays The Bills

By Tom Lindstrom

Did you know that only 1% of the people starting a blog become successful monetizing(making money)from the site. The good news is that those who really succeed at it,are earning enough to live comfortable and can work from home.
Monetizing a blog correctly can mean a good five or six digit income per year.

Blogging can be a very lucrative online home business if and only if you have the talent and the right attitude towards your business.

Why does others fail and other succeed? Successful bloggers have invested a lot of time and effort into their blog. Building a blog and getting traffic to it is a full-time job.

To become a successful bloggers must anticipate what his or her readers want to read. They must know how to hold the interest of their readers.Once a blogger gets the attention of his or her readers, there is a big chance that these readers will keep coming back to read more of what the blogger has to say. As the traffic to the site increases, there is now a high potential to earn money through the site.

Monetizing your blog

Nobody enjoys having many ads on their blog, but the reality is that these ads bring in the revenue. If your blog has lots of useful content and huge traffic,it might be a good idea to set aside some space for advertisements. You must design your blog in a way that the ads are visible, and looks like a part of your content. This can easily be done by adding Google Adsense ads to your blog. The ads are very targeted to the content. You will earn money for every click on the ads.

It´s always a good idea to have multiple income streams.
Choose an affiliate program that is relevant to the contents of your blog. For instance,if your blog is all about children and parenting,it would be wise to join affiliate programs that are selling products for children.

Be careful not to add too much advertising on your blog, it makes it look crowded and may scare away the readers.
